Specificity and Use
NR1H3 / LXR Alpha antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from C-terminus of human NR1H3 (NP_005684.2, Q13133). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Mouse, Rat, Dog, Bovine, Goat, Pig, Guinea pig, Chicken, Zebrafish (100%).
C-Terminus
Human NR1H3 / LXR Alpha
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B3526 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B3526 was determined to be 5 ug/ml. ELISA titer using peptide based assay: 1:62500. Western Blot: Suggested dilution at 1 ug/ml in 5% skim milk / PBS buffer, and HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit IgG should be diluted in 1:50000 - 100000 as second antibody.

Liver X receptor alpha (LXR alpha), a NR1 Thyroid Hormone-Like Receptor, has been shown to affect the transport and catabolism of cholesterol as well as fatty acid metabolism. LXR alpha also appears to be an important insulin mediating factor in the regulation of lipogenesis.
