The yield is around 90% of the serum IgG fraction from culture supernatant or ascites.

Purification on protein A-affinity column is similar to protein G-affinity column with a yield around 90% of IgG fraction.
Choice between A and G-affinity columns depends on antibody isotype or host specie.
