| Description of Target | Defibrinated rabbit blood is aseptically collected and prepared to order from our colony of animals. Fibrin is mechanically removed during the clotting process without the presence of anticoagulants or other additives. Defibrinated rabbit blood is ideal for blood agar plate preparations. Blood Agar is a general purpose enriched medium often used to grow fastidious organisms and to differentiate bacteria based on their hemolytic properties. Defibrinated rabbit blood is perishable and is collected and processed upon receipt of your order. |
