Interferon-γ
Quality Control & Documentation
Biological Activity
Interferon-γ (IFN-γ) is a cytokine produced primarily by T-lymphocytes and natural killer cells. IFN-γ signaling does diverse biological functions primarily related to host defense and immune regulation, including antiviral and antibacterial defense, apoptosis, inflammation, and innate and acquired immunity. IFN-γ is also implicated in resistance to NK cell and CTL responses and in immune escape in a variety of cancers.
Recombinant Rat IFN-γ expressed the target gene encoding Gln23-Cys156.
Measured by cytotoxicity assay using WEHI-279 cells, the ED50 is < 2.5 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 4.0 × 105 U/mg.
Accession: P01581
Apparent Molecular Weight: 15~25 kDa, under non-reducing conditions
Endotoxin < 0.2 EU/μg
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.
