dsDNA, Recombinant (Double Stranded DNA, dsDNA, dsDNA antigen)

Most DNA molecules are actually two polymer strands, bound together in a helical fashion by noncovalent bonds; this double stranded structure (dsDNA) is maintained largely by the intrastrand base stacking interactions, which are strongest for G,C stacks. The two strands can come apart – a process known as melting – to form two single-stranded DNA molecules (ssDNA) molecules.

Recombinant protein corresponding to dsDNA, expressed in E.coli.

Suitable for use in Molecular Assays. Other applications not tested.

Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
