Description
The RayBiotech Annexin V Detection Kit is a sensitive assay of cell apoptosis by flow cytometry. Annexin V is a cellular protein that specifically bind to phosphatidylserine (PS) sites on cell membrane. In healthy live cells, PS is predominantly located along the cytosolic side of the plasma membrane while during apoptosis and necrosis PS translocates to the extracellular membrane, which can be detected by fluorochrome-labeled Annexin V. Live and dead cells can be discriminated by RayBright Live/dead markers, a group of small organic dye. Unlike other apoptosis assay using propidium iodide (PI) or 7-AAD, RayBio Annexin V apoptosis Detection Kit can combine with further immunophenotyping that requires cell fixation.
Kit Components
- RayBright® R780 Live (in DMSO, 1:100 dilution for use)
- RayBright® V450 Annexin V (5 µl/test)
- Annexin V Binding Buffer, 5x (dilute with ddH2O to 1x solution)
- Annexin V Co-staining Buffer, 5x (dilute with ddH2O to 1x solution)
Storage/Stability
Stored at 2 °C - 8 °C, protected from prolonged light exposure. DO NOT FREEZE.
