Definition of unit:
One unit is the amount of enzyme that catalyzes the conjugation of 1uM of 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (CDNB) to glutathione in one minute at room temperature in 100mM potassium phosphate buffer, pH 6.5. [J.B.C., 249 : 7130-7139 (1974)]

Packaging:
Each vial contains sufficient enzyme for up to 10 assays using CDNB as substrate in a spectrophotometric assay.

Storage and Stability:
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
