Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note
Exposure to sodium (in the form of sodium chloride, sodium phosphate, sodium azide as well as other sodium containing reagents) should be avoided, as ceruloplasmin may precipitate under these conditions. Buffers that ceruloplasmin is exposed to should be pH adjusted with potassium hydroxide.

Small volumes of Plasma Ceruloplasmin plasma vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
