Antibody DetailsProduct DetailsReactive Species Porcine Host Species Mouse Immunogen E. coliDerived Recombinant Porcine Interleukin4 Endotoxin Level <0.1 EU/µg as determined by the LAL method Formulation This monoclonal antibody has been 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 7.3 containing 5.0% w/v trehalose with no calcium, magnesium or preservatives present. Storage and Handling The lyophilized antibody can be stored desiccated at 20°C to 70°C for up to twelve months. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for at least four weeks at 28°C. For longterm storage of the reconstituted antibody, aseptically aliquot into working volumes and store at 20°C to 70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. No detectable loss of activity was observed after six months. Country of Origin USA Shipping Next Day Ambient RRIDAB_2830810 Applications and Recommended Usage? Quality Tested by Leinco Western Blotting: To detect Porcine IL4 this monoclonal antibody can be used at a concentration of 12 µg/ml. This monoclonal antibody should be used in conjunction with compatible secondstep reagents such as PN:M114 and a chromogenic substrate such as PN:T343. The detection limit for Porcine IL4 is 2 ng/lane under either reducing or nonreducing conditions. The sensitivity of detection may increase up to 50 fold when a chemiluminescent substrate is used. Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications. See directions on lot specific datasheets, as information may periodically change. DescriptionDescriptionSpecificity Clone 99613 recognizes an epitope on porcine IL4. This antibody shows nocrossreactivity with rhIL4, rmIL4, rrIL4, rcrIL4, and rhIL13. Background IL4 is a 1519 kD pleiotropic immune cytokine secreted by activated TH2 cells. It has many biological roles, including the regulation in humoral and adaptive immunity, the inhibition of bone resorption, the stimulation of activated Bcell and Tcell proliferation, and initiation of allergic responses. Moreover, IL4 induces a positive feedback loop by stimulating differentiation of naive helper T cells, or Th0 cells, to Th2 cells which in turn secrete more IL4. Increased IL4 production and overproduction of IL4R are found in many cancers. IL4 has a significant effect on tumor progression by increasing apoptosis resistance via tumor growth enhancement. IL4 may also play a part in the immune dysregulation that occurs in most HIV1 infected patients. PubMed Research Area Other Molecules References & Citations1. Pike, JW. et al. (2001) PNAS 98: 2443 2.
