CliniSciences & ACOBIOM Secure European Funding for PANTHERA Dx

The PANTHER-VALID project aims to take a key step toward the validation and deployment of a personalised medicine solution designed to guide first-line treatment selection in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
CliniSciences and ACOBIOM announce the launch of their collaboration within the PANTHER-VALID project, which has been selected for financial support under the Fast Track of the European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (EP PerMed).
This funding will enable the validation of PANTHERA Dx, a solution developed by ACOBIOM to support the selection of first-line treatments for patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
The project, launched on 20 July 2026 for a duration of nine months, brings together the complementary expertise of ACOBIOM in the development of molecular diagnostics and CliniSciences in the validation of diagnostic solutions.
In detail
PANTHERA Dx is a therapeutic optimisation tool that combines a blood test based on RNA biomarkers and an artificial intelligence model to deliver predictive information intended to inform the choice of first-line chemotherapy in pancreatic cancer.
The objective of PANTHER-VALID is to demonstrate that the entire workflow can be transferred, executed and documented independently, under reproducible conditions representative of a routine laboratory environment.
This validation represents a decisive step in advancing PANTHERA Dx to a higher level of technological maturity.
By generating independent data on the reproducibility, transferability and robustness of PANTHERA Dx, PANTHER-VALID is expected to reduce the risks associated with the next stages of the solution’s development.
Ultimately, the project results should help prepare future multicentre validations, the generation of data from an IVDR perspective, and the deployment of the solution within laboratory networks.
The ambition is to advance a personalised medicine approach that can help healthcare professionals better guide therapeutic decisions from the first line of treatment, in a disease where the speed of decision-making is a major challenge.
