Human recombinant histone octamer consisting of 2 molecules each of histones H2A (aa1-130(end)), H2B (aa1-126 (end)), H3 (aa1-136(end)), and H4 (aa1-103(end)), expressed in an E. coli expression system. GenBank Accession Nos. are NM_033445, NM_003528, NM_003532, and NM_003548, respectively. Global MW = 110kD.

Full length recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-136 of Histone Octamer, un-tagged expressed in E. coli.

Applications:
A perfect substrate for histone methyltransferases. Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap
