PEG 8000, or Polyethylene glycol, is a polymer that is readily soluble in aqueous solutions. PEG is used in gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, and microscopy.

Sodium Chloride with 20% PEG 8000 is provided as a sterile solution for PCR.
