96 Tests PN: B311157

Components:

45x Ab-conjugated beads (S5P2 - Rat GM-CSF Ab-bead). PN: B311157A. One vial containing 100 µL of anti-rat GM-CSF conjugated to AimPlex Bead S5P2.

25x Biotin-detection Ab (Rat GM-CSF Biotin-dAb). PN: B311157B. One vial containing 100 µL of biotinylated anti-rat GM-CSF.

Lyophilized Standard Mix - Rat Group 1 Panel B, 12-Plex. PN: RG10012. One vial containing lyophilized recombinant rat Eotaxin, G-CSF, GM-CSF, IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-5, IL-12p70, IL-13, KC, IP-10, MIP-1α, and MIP-2.  Note: If multiple analyte kits on the above target list are ordered as a panel, only one vial of standard mix is supplied for those analyte kits.

Application: Optimal antibody pair and antigen standard for assaying Rat GM-CSF/CSF-2. Can be multiplexed with other analytes in Rat Group 1. To be used in conjunction with the AimPlex Mouse/Rat Basic Kit (PN: P200201) and a diluent kit. Refer to the AimPlex Multiplex Immunoassay User Manual and kit inserts for the assay procedure.

Storage:  2-8 C in the dark.

Important: Sodium azide forms explosive compounds with heavy metals. These products contain <0.05% (w/w) azide which with repeated contact with lead and copper commonly found in plumbing drains may result in the buildup of shock sensitive compounds. Dispose in accordance with regulations from your institute.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Description:

Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (Accession P48750) is a glycoprotein, acting as a cytokine produced by macrophages, NK cells, mast cells, fibroblasts, and endothelial cells. GM-CSF stimulates the production of granulocytes and monocytes and monocytes. Patients with rheumatoid arthritis have been shown to have high levels in of GM-CSF. GM-CSF has also been shown to play a role in embryonic development by functioning as an embryokine. As female and male embryos react differently to GM-CSF, it may be responsible for alterations in utero. GM-CSF is frequently used in treating leucopenia.
