Human macrophage inflammatory protein-1-beta (MIP-1b) is a member of the C-C chemokine family. MIP-1b exhibits chemotactic properties for monocytes, T-lymphocytes, neutrophils, eosinophils, immature dendritic cells and NK cells, and plays a role in transendothelial migration. MIP-1a and MIP-1b are also the major HIV-suppressive factors produced by CD8+ T-cells.

Densitometry of protein isoforms visualized by 2-DE. Spot trains are normal in human proteins and highlight the presence of multiple isoforms which differ according to their level of post-translational modification. The triangle indicates the theoretical MW and pI of the protein.
