Alpha Synuclein Oligomer (AlphaSYNo) ELISA Kit for Human

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Popular Catalog #: MBS730762

Principle of the Assay: SNCOalpha ELISA kit applies the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate has been pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific for SNCOalpha. Standards or samples are then added to the microtiter plate… More details

Product Overview

Product Name
Alpha Synuclein oligomer (AlphaSYNo), ELISA Kit
Full Product Name
Human Alpha Synuclein oligomer ELISA Kit
Product Gene Name
AlphaSYNo elisa kit
Species Reactivity
Human
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive or Sandwich
Samples
Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Sensitivity
0.1 ng/mL
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of SNCOalpha. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between SNCOalpha and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between SNCOalpha and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
Molecular Weight
13,109 Da
OMIM
605543
Sample Preparation
We suggest pre-experimenting with neat (undiluted) samples, 1:2 or 1:4 dilutions. Please avoid diluting your samples more than 1:10 as it would exceed the dilution limit set for this kit. If the expected concentration of the target is beyond the detection range of the kit, please contact our technical support team

MBS730762 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Alpha Synuclein oligomer (AlphaSYNo) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing AlphaSYNo. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS730762 kit is based on AlphaSYNo antibody-AlphaSYNo antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect AlphaSYNo antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, AlphaSYNo. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for AlphaSYNo

Alpha-synuclein is a member of the synuclein family, which also includes beta- and gamma-synuclein. Synucleins are abundantly expressed in the brain and alpha- and beta-synuclein inhibit phospholipase D2 selectively. SNCA may serve to integrate presynaptic signaling and membrane trafficking. Defects in SNCA have been implicated in the pathogenesis of Parkinson disease. SNCA peptides are a major component of amyloid plaques in the brains of patients with Alzheimer's disease. Four alternatively spliced transcripts encoding two different isoforms have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]
