Anti-Horse Primary Antibodies

Anti-horse primary antibodies are immunochemical reagents designed for the specific recognition and binding of target antigens in equine-derived samples. They are typically produced by immunizing host species such as goat, rabbit, or mouse with purified horse immunoglobulins or specific equine proteins, followed by immunoaffinity chromatography to isolate antibodies with high specificity for horse antigens. Depending on the product, these antibodies may recognize immunoglobulin heavy and light chains (H+L), specific isotypes or subclasses, or non-immunoglobulin proteins. To reduce non-specific binding, many preparations are pre-adsorbed or cross-adsorbed against serum proteins from other species. Anti-horse primary antibodies are available in unconjugated forms or conjugated to enzymes, fluorophores, or biotin, providing flexibility for a wide range of detection methods.

Applications

Anti-horse primary antibodies are widely used in immunological and molecular biology techniques for the detection, localization, and characterization of equine antigens. In western blotting, ELISA, and immunohistochemistry, they enable sensitive analysis of proteins in tissues, serum, and cultured cells. They are also valuable in immunoprecipitation and pull-down assays for antigen enrichment prior to downstream analyses. Additional applications include flow cytometry, neutralization assays, and vaccine development studies. As optimal antibody performance depends on the experimental conditions, appropriate dilutions should be determined empirically for each application.
