Purified PPD. PPD is generated by boiling a culture of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, specifically Old Tuberculin (OT).
Specificity
Minimum of two major M. tuberculosis bands by immunoelectrophoresis (gamma alpha beta). Has not been adsorbed and may cross-react with related microorganisms. Cross-reactive with other Mycobacterial species including M. avium, M. phlei and M. parafortuitum. Does not cross-react with E. coli K12, Salmonella typhimurium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus Group B, Candida albicans and Neisseria meningitidis.

Usage
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Gel Applications, Direct FA. Gel Applications: Neat. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.
