  • For an aqueous mounting medium that contains DAPI (sc-3598) for DNA counterstaining, we would recommend our alternative product, UltraCruz® Aqueous Mounting Medium with DAPI (sc-24941).

UltraCruz® Aqueous Mounting Medium is an aqueous based formula (Non-hardening) designed to preserve fluorescence. UltraCruz® Aqueous Mounting Medium inhibits photobleaching of probes containing fluorescein, Texas Red, Rhodamine, and other fluorochromes including CruzFluor™ (CFL) fluorescent dyes. Sections mounted in UltraCruz® Aqueous Mounting Medium retain fluorescence during prolonged storage. UltraCruz® Mounting Medium does not solidify, but remains in liquid form on the slide and can be stored without sealing. Coverslips can be sealed around the perimeter, if desired, with nail polish or a plastic sealant. Mounted slides should be stored at 4 °C, protected from light.
