DDX4 (DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) Box Polypeptide 4, DEAD Box Protein 4, MGC111074, Probable ATP-dependent RNA Helicase DDX4, Vasa Homolog, VASA)

DDX4 is an ATP-dependent DEAD-box RNA helicase found in the chromatoid body of the germ cells. This enzyme is specific to the germ cells and is necessary for germ cell development. Mouse DDX4 was shown to interact with Dicer suggesting its role in the icroRNA-mediated RNA silencing.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
