MacConkey agar is a selective and differential medium for detection of coliforms and other enteric organisms.

Beige with pale pink tint, homogenous, free-flowing powder.

Microbiology:
The medium was prepared according to formulation and inoculated with the organisms listed below. Cultures were incubated at 35±2°C in an aerobic atmosphere and examined for growth at 18-24 hours.
