The tensid Synperonic^® F108, a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene block copolymer, is an effective solubilizer for substances demonstrating pharmaceutical activity. The strongly hydrophilic non-ionic detergent demonstrates good adsorption characteristics. These particular properties may be of interest in pharmaceutical chemistry e.g. for the coating of liposomes. Synperonic^® F108 is used as cleansing agent, emulsifier, dispersant, wetter, solubilizer and adjuvant for lentiviral transduction.
