Tesamorelin is a synthetic form of the growth hormone-releasing factor (GHRF) which is used in the treatment of HIV-associated lipodystrophy. The drug Egrifta (Theratechnologies) is the 44 aa GHRF with the addition of a trans-3-hexenoic acid group.
