XLD Agar
Catalog Number: B2017181 (500 g)
XLD Agar is a high quality selective growth medium primarily used for the isolation and differentiation of enteric pathogens, particularly Salmonella and Shigella species. It is a highly selective medium due to the presence of deoxycholate, which inhibits the growth of Gram-positive bacteria and many Gram-negative bacteria that are not enteric pathogens. This product has been used as a molecular tool for various biochemical applications. It has also been used in a wide array of other chemical and immunological applications. Custom bulk amounts of this product are available upon request.
