Description

High mobility group A2 protein (HMGA2) functions as a transcriptional regulator in cell cycle through CCNA2. HMGA2 is predominantly expressed during embryogenesis. Chromosomal aberrations involving HMGA2 are associated with benign mesenchymal tumors, pulmonary chondoid hamartomas, parosteal lipomas, and uterine leiomyoma.
