CD45, otherwise known as LCA (leucocyte common antigen), is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the protein-tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family, expressed at high levels on all nucleated cells of haematopoietic origin, and which exists in several isoforms generated by the alternative splicing.CD45 is a signal transduction protein vital for T and B cell antigen receptor-mediated activation, and is involved in many aspects of cellular processes, including growth, differentiation and oncogenic transformation. Studies have reported associations between CD45 and many cell surface antigens, including CD2, CD3, CD4, CD26 and CD90.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
