1-Monomyristin [589-68-4]

Referência HY-N2512-250mg

Tamanho : 250mg

Marca : MedChemExpress

Description

1-Monomyristin acts as an insecticide, enzyme inhibitor, antibacterial and antifungal agent, with an IC50 of 18 μM against rat FAAH and an IC50 of 32 μM against rat MAGL. 1-Monomyristin inhibits 2-oleoylglycerol hydrolysis via MAGL. 1-Monomyristin suppresses the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans and Candida albicans. 1-Monomyristin is lethal to brine shrimp[3]. 1-Monomyristin exhibits marginal cytotoxicity against prostate cancer cells. 1-Monomyristin is applicable to research related to bacterial infections, fungal infections, renal cancer, prostate adenocarcinoma and pancreatic cancer[1][2][3].

In Vitro

1-Monomyristin (10 min) inhibits cytosolic MAGL from adult Sprague-Dawley rat cerebella with an IC50 of 32 μM[1].
1-Monomyristin (10 min) inhibits membrane-bound fatty acid amide hydrolase from adult Sprague-Dawley rat cerebella with an IC50 of 18 μM[1].
1-Monomyristin (0.50-15.0%; 30 h) exhibits concentration-dependent antibacterial activity against E. coli, S. aureus, B. subtilis, and A. actinomycetemcomitans, and antifungal activity against C. albicans, with the largest measured inhibition zone of 18.9 mm observed for 15.0% 1-monomyristin against S. aureus[2].
1-Monomyristin shows moderate lethality to brine shrimp with an LC50 of 53.3 μg/mL[3].
1-Monomyristin (7 days) exhibits borderline cytotoxicity to human prostate adenocarcinoma (PC-3) cells with an ED50 of 8.84 μg/mL[3].

* Please refer to the solubility information to select the appropriate solvent. Once prepared, please aliquot and store the solution to prevent product inactivation from repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Storage method and period of stock solution: -80°C, 6 months; -20°C, 1 month. When stored at -80°C, please use it within 6 months. When stored at -20°C, please use it within 1 month.

Select the appropriate dissolution method based on your experimental animal and administration route.

For the following dissolution methods, please ensure to first prepare a clear stock solution using an In Vitro approach and then sequentially add co-solvents:
To ensure reliable experimental results, the clarified stock solution can be appropriately stored based on storage conditions. As for the working solution for in vivo experiments, it is recommended to prepare freshly and use it on the same day.
The percentages shown for the solvents indicate their volumetric ratio in the final prepared solution. If precipitation or phase separation occurs during preparation, heat and/or sonication can be used to aid dissolution.

  • Protocol 1

Add each solvent one by one:  10% DMSO    90% Corn Oil

    Solubility: ≥ 2.5 mg/mL (8.27 mM); Clear solution

This protocol yields a clear solution of ≥ 2.5 mg/mL (saturation unknown). If the continuous dosing period exceeds half a month, please choose this protocol carefully.

Taking 1 mL working solution as an example, add 100 μL DMSO stock solution (25.0 mg/mL) to 900 μL Corn oil, and mix evenly.
