Glucose (GLU) Fluorometric Assay Kit

Intended Uses: This kit can be used to measure glucose (Glu) content in serum, plasma, urine, saliva and milk samples.

Principle of the Assay: Glucose oxidase can catalyze the oxidation of glucose into gluconic acid and produce hydrogen peroxide. In the presence of peroxidase, hydrogen peroxide reacts with the non-fluorescent substance to form fluorescent substance. The glucose content can be calculated indirectly by measuring the fluorescence intensity at the excitation wavelength of 535 nm and the emission wavelength of 590 nm.

Small volumes of GLU assay kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
