TCP-1alpha is a 60kD subunit of a cytosolic hetero-oligomer chaperone (1,4) that is known to be involved in the folding of actin and tubulin. This protein is a member of the chaperonin family, which includes Escherichia coli GroEL, the mitochondrial heat-shock protein Hsp60, the plastid Rubisco-subunit-binding protein and the archaebacterial protein TF55. These chaperonins assist the folding of proteins upon ATP hydrolysis. Nine different subunits of TCP-1 containing chaperonin complexes from mammalian testis and seven different subunits of mouse F9 cells have been identified. TCP-1 has also been referred to as ëTRicí, TCP-1 ring complex or the chaperonin containing complex, CCT.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot (colormetric): 1:1000
Flow Cytometry: 1:100
Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.

Positive Controls:
HeLa Heat Shocked Cell Lysate

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
