| ELISA Kit Principle | Aviva Systems Biology ENPP2 ELISA Kit (Mouse) (OKEH03320) is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay technology. An antibody specific for Enpp2 has been pre-coated onto a 96-wellplate (12 x 8 Well Strips) and blocked. Standards or test samples are added to the wells and incubated. After washing, a biotinylated detector antibody specific for Enpp2 is added, incubated and followed by washing. Avidin-Peroxidase Conjugate is then added, incubated and unbound conjugate is washed away.An enzymatic reaction is produced through the addition of TMB substrate which is catalyzed by HRP generating a blue color product that changes yellow after adding acidicstop solution. The density of yellow coloration read by absorbance at 450 nm is quantitatively proportional to the amount of sample Enpp2 captured in well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| Description of Target | Hydrolyzes lysophospholipids to produce the signaling molecule lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) in extracellular fluids (PubMed:17208043, PubMed:28414242, PubMed:27780639). Major substrate is lysophosphatidylcholine (PubMed:17208043, PubMed:27780639). Also can act on sphingosylphosphorylcholine producing sphingosine-1-phosphate, a modulator of cell motility. Can hydrolyze, in vitro, bis-pNPP, to some extent pNP-TMP, and barely ATP (PubMed:18175805). Involved in several motility-related processes such as angiogenesis and neurite outgrowth. Acts as an angiogenic factor by stimulating migration of smooth muscle cells and microtubule formation. Stimulates migration of melanoma cells, probably via a pertussis toxin-sensitive G protein. May have a role in induction of parturition (By similarity). Possible involvement in cell proliferation and adipose tissue development (Probable). Tumor cell motility-stimulating factor. |
