Description

hrv 3c Protease is a protease originated from human rhinoviruses. hrv 3c Protease recognizes the sequence LEVLFQGP and cleaves precisely between the Q and GP residues. hrv 3c Protease can be used to remove additional tags from the target proteins[1].

In Vitro

Product information
This product is a recombinant protease that has been expressed and purified through genetic engineering. This protease specifically recognizes the Gln and Gly residues in the short peptide Leu-Phe-Gln/Gly-Pro for cleavage. The recognition and cleavage of the substrate depend not only on the primary structure of the fusion protein but also on its secondary and tertiary structures.
Instructions
The recommended enzymatic digestion reaction time is 16 h or overnight, the reaction temperature is 4°C, and the ratio of enzyme to substrate is 1:25-1:100 (U/µg).
Note
1) The above reaction conditions are only general suggestions and may not be suitable for all proteins. It is recommended that customers conduct pre-experiments in advance for different proteins to determine the best reaction conditions.
2) Before use, a pre-experiment with 10 μg-20 μg of substrate protein can be conducted to determine the optimal reaction conditions and enzyme dosage. For proteins that are not easy to be enzymatically cleaved, the expected effect can be achieved by increasing the amount of enzyme and extending the reaction time, etc.
3) Do not repeatedly freeze and thaw the product.

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
