Anti-CREB1 (Cyclic AMP-responsive Element-binding Protein 1, CREB-1, cAMP-responsive Element-binding Protein 1) (APC) Monoclonal Antibody

CREB is a beta ZIP transcription factor that activates target genes through cAMP response elements. CREB is able to mediate signals from numerous physiological stimuli, resulting in regulation of a broad array of cellular responses. While CREB is expressed in numerous tissues, it plays a large regulatory role in the nervous system. CREB is believed to play a key role in promoting neuronal survival, precursor proliferation, neurite outgrowth and neuronal differentiation in certain neuronal populations. CREB promotes outgrowth and differentiation as a mediator of Neurotrophin pathways. CREB is able to selectively activate numerous downstream genes through interactions with different dimerization partners. CREB is activated by phosphorylation at Ser133 by various signaling pathways including Erk, Ca2+ and stress signaling.||Applications:|Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilution:|Western blot: 1-5ug/ml|FLISA: 0.1-1ug/ml|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Control:|Jurkat nuclear extract, A-431 whole cell lysate||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.||Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
