CD81 (TAPA-1, Target of anti-Proliferative Antibody-1) (HRP)

CD 81, a 26kD cell surface antigen also known as TAPA-1 and a member of the tetraspanin family. CD81 is widely expressed on human leukocytes and appears to be involved in a variety of cellular leukocytes and appears to be involved in a variety of cellular processes, including adhesion, activation, proliferation and differentiation. The antibody is a potent CD81 reagent, induces homotypic adhesion and has powerful anti proliferative effects.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin
Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.

Hybridoma:
P3X63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice

Source: Tissue culture supernatant

Storage and Stability:
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
