Anti-Human IGF-II (Clone 75015)

Purified Recombinant Human IGFII (Accession # P01344.1)

This monoclonal antibody has been 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 7.3 containing 5.0% w/v trehalose with no calcium, magnesium or preservatives present.

The lyophilized antibody can be stored desiccated at 20°C to 70°C for up to twelve months. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for at least four weeks at 28°C. For longterm storage of the reconstituted antibody, aseptically aliquot into working volumes and store at 20°C to 70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. No detectable loss of activity was observed after six months.

Neutralization: This antibody is useful for neutralization of Human IGFII bioactivity. The antibody dose required to neutralize 50% (ND₅₀) of the biological activity of Human IGFII (at 14 ng/ml) is 1030 µg/ml.

Mouse AntiHuman insulinlike growth factor II (IGFII) (Clone 75015) recognizes an epitope on Human IGFII. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multistep affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype. This antibody shows 100% crossreactivity with rmIGFII and no crossreactivity with rhIGFI or rmIGFI.

Insulinlike growth factor 2 (IGF2) is a polypeptide hormone with structural and functional homology with IGFI and proinsulin.¹ IGF2 exerts its effects by binding to the IGF1 receptor. IGF2 may also bind to the IGF2 receptor. The major role of IGF2 is growth promoting hormone during gestation. IGF2 has been shown to be an important regulator of fetoplacental growth.²
