dPCR Master Mix

Digital PCR master mix is a ready-to-use reagent formulation specifically designed for digital PCR (dPCR) assays to enable accurate amplification and absolute quantification of DNA or RNA targets after sample partitioning. It typically contains a thermostable DNA polymerase, optimized reaction buffer, magnesium salts, dNTPs, stabilizers, and fluorescent probe or dye-compatible components required for endpoint PCR detection across thousands of microreactions.

Unlike conventional PCR reagents, digital PCR master mixes are formulated to maintain amplification efficiency and signal consistency within droplets, chambers, or nanowells. Peer-reviewed studies have shown that reagent composition strongly influences partition stability, fluorescence separation, amplification uniformity, and final quantification accuracy. High-performance master mixes are therefore critical for obtaining clear positive/negative cluster discrimination and reproducible Poisson-based quantification.

Digital PCR master mixes are available for hydrolysis probe assays, intercalating dye assays, genotyping, mutation detection, reverse transcription digital PCR (RT-dPCR), and multiplex applications.
