It appears as part of rhamnose-containing oligosaccharides in bacterial and plant polysaccharides, exhibiting solubility similar to its monosaccharide unit, which is highly water-soluble.

Biological Sources and Occurrence

Rhamnotriose occurs in the cell walls of bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa as O-antigen repeating units and in plant-derived polysaccharides including pectin and rhamnogalacturonan I. Biosynthesis and Metabolism
