Ki-67 is a highly protease-sensitive nuclear protein expressed in two isoforms (345kD and 395kD), both of which are identified by the antibody clone Ki-67. The Ki-67 antigen is essential for cell proliferation and its expression is restricted to the cycling cells. It is detected in G1, S, G2 and M phase, whereas it is absent in cells which are in G0 phase and it is not associated with DNA repair processes. Ki-67 thus represents an important tool for detection of proliferating cells, which is of great importance in tumor diagnostics and is commonly used as a prognostic factor in cancer studies.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells of 100ul whole blood or 1x10e6 cells in suspension
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
