Picloram is an auxinic herbicide widely used to control woody plants and broad-leaved weeds. It is a potent agent to induce direct somatic embryogenesis.

Auxin is a critical phytohormone for plant growth and affects  many developmental processes such as turgor, elongation, division, and cell differentiation. Auxin has been shown to control membrane function and gene expression.

Applications:

• Somatic embryogenesis

• Herbicide
