PE/Atto 594-conjugated anti-hamster primary antibodies are dual-fluorophore immunochemical reagents designed for the detection of target antigens in hamster-derived samples using fluorescence-based techniques. Produced by immunizing host species such as goat or rabbit with purified hamster immunoglobulins, these antibodies are purified by immunoaffinity chromatography and conjugated to both phycoerythrin (PE) and Atto 594. This tandem fluorophore system relies on fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) from PE to Atto 594, providing enhanced photostability, reduced spectral overlap, and fluorescence emission at approximately 617 nm, making it compatible with standard orange/red detection channels. Depending on the product, antibodies may recognize hamster immunoglobulin heavy and light chains (H+L) or specific isotypes, and many are pre-adsorbed against serum proteins from other species to minimize cross-reactivity.
Applications
PE/Atto 594-conjugated anti-hamster primary antibodies are widely used in fluorescence-based immunodetection workflows. In flow cytometry and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS), they enable sensitive quantitative analysis of cell-surface and intracellular antigens while reducing background fluorescence. In immunofluorescence (IF) microscopy and immunohistochemistry (IHC), they support the precise localization of target proteins in cultured cells and tissue sections. These conjugates are also suitable for multiplex bead-based assays and high-content screening, where their spectral characteristics facilitate multicolor panel design.
